Your privacy, plainly

Relay helps two partners share the invisible work of running a home. That only works if you trust us with what you put in — so here's exactly what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. No dark patterns, no selling your data.
Who we are
Relay is built and operated by Agile Catalyst Labs ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Relay mobile app and the services behind it. Questions? Email producto@agilecatalystlabs.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name and email address, provided when you sign in with email, Apple, Google, or Facebook. We use these to create and secure your account.
- The household content you create — the areas ("domains") you track and everything inside them: sub-tasks, decisions, contacts, milestones, and notes.
- Your partner's email — when you invite a partner, so we can send them the invitation.
- Voice recordings — only if you choose to use voice capture. We transcribe them to text so the app can turn them into tasks; see providers below.
Information collected automatically
- Subscription status — whether you have an active Relay Pro subscription. Payments are handled by the app stores and RevenueCat; we never see or store your card number.
- Device & usage data — app events (e.g. sign-up, purchase), a push-notification token if you enable reminders, and analytics/attribution identifiers used to understand how the app performs and where installs come from.
How we use it
- To provide the core service — build your inventory, hand areas off to your partner, and keep both of you in sync.
- To send the reminders and check-ins you opt into (both are off by default — never a nag).
- To operate subscriptions and unlock Relay Pro features.
- To measure performance, fix problems, and improve the app.
How we share it
- With your household partner. Sharing the load is the point of Relay — when you hand off or share an area, your partner can see and act on it, and contributions are attributed so you both know who did what.
- With service providers who run Relay for us, only as needed to provide the service:
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Connected calendars and Google user data
If you connect a Google or Outlook calendar, Relay does two separate things with it, and only these two:
- Reads the calendars you select, so your existing events appear inside the app. Relay never creates, edits, or deletes anything in those calendars.
- Creates one new calendar in your account, named “Relay”, and writes your Relay events into it — so the plans you make in Relay also show up on your phone, watch and car. Relay only ever writes to the calendar it created.
On Google, this is enforced by the access itself: Relay requests calendar.app.created, a permission that cannot see or change calendars Relay did not create, alongside read-only access for the calendars you choose to display. Microsoft Graph offers no equivalent narrow permission, so on Outlook Relay must request read/write access to the account and restricts itself to its own calendar in software. Deleting the “Relay” calendar in Google or Outlook removes those events and stops them reappearing.
Relay's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is never sent to any AI or machine-learning service. Relay uses AI for features you invoke yourself — turning a spoken brain-dump into a list of household areas, and the in-app assistant. Those features operate only on the household content you create in Relay. Calendar events read from a connected account are shown on your calendar and are not included in any prompt, are not used to create, train, or improve any AI model, and are not sold or transferred for advertising.
Disconnecting a calendar in Relay stops the sync and deletes the stored authorization for that account. You can also revoke Relay's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
Children's data
Relay is designed for adults coordinating a household. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). Any details you enter about a child are content you control — we keep the collection minimal, and you can edit or delete it at any time.
How you consent
You give consent by using each feature, not by pre-agreeing to everything up front. Recording a voice note requires granting the microphone permission your device asks for; an audio explainer is only generated when you choose to create one (you can always send text only); child details are stored only if you enter them; and a domain is shared with a partner only when you invite them. By continuing past the welcome screen you also accept these terms and this policy, which describe the above.
Your choices and rights
- Access & export — you can export a copy of your data from the app's Privacy & data screen.
- Delete — you can permanently delete your account and all its data (see below), and you can edit or remove any specific item (including child details) at any time.
- Notifications — reminders and check-ins are off until you turn them on, and can be turned off whenever.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your data). Email us and we'll help.
Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your Relay account and everything in it at any time. To do so:
- Open Relay and go to Settings.
- Tap Privacy & data.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This permanently removes your account and your household content — the areas you track, their sub-tasks, decisions, contacts, milestones, and notes — along with your associated personal data, from our systems. If you signed in with Facebook, Apple, or Google, deleting your account also disconnects that sign-in. Deletion cannot be undone.
If you can't access the app, email producto@agilecatalystlabs.com from the email address on your account and we'll delete your data for you. Some information may remain briefly in encrypted backups, or where the law requires us to retain it, before it is fully removed.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and household content. Some records may persist briefly in backups or where the law requires us to keep them.
Security
We use industry-standard protections: encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token storage on your device, and access controls so only your household can reach your household's data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.
Where your data is processed
Relay runs on Google Cloud and Firebase, so your information may be processed on servers outside your country. We rely on those providers' safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Relay after an update means you accept the revised policy.
